Knotty pine tongue and groove, recessed lights, and a ceiling fan.
Fans and lighting
A fan to keep the air moving and lights for bug free evenings after dark.
Concrete pad
A poured concrete pad, level and sloped to shed water.
Screen door
A screened door so you can carry a drink tray in and out.
Materials and options
Screen a deck or new build
We can screen an existing deck or build a new porch from the ground up. A new build lets us tie the roof in and run the ceiling you want, and it is usually the better long term call for a porch you use for years.
Roof tie-in and flashing
The roof connection is where porches leak. We flash it right so water never finds a way in. The tie-in matches your roof pitch and shingles so it reads as part of the home.
Ceilings
Tongue and groove knotty pine is our favorite. It looks warm, hides the joints, and takes recessed lights and a fan. We can also do a drywall ceiling with paint and trim.
Cedar framing
Cedar resists rot and bugs and looks the part. Our screened room in Thompson's Station was all cedar, from the posts to the rails to the screen frames.
