Composite decks give you the look of wood without the weekend staining. Prime Construction installs leading composite brands with hidden fasteners across Middle Tennessee. Composite runs about $80 per square foot installed and pays for itself over 20 years. We build in Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville, and across Middle Tennessee, and we give you an exact number in 1 to 2 days.

What is included

No stain, no seal

Composite never needs stain or seal. One less chore every spring.

Hidden fasteners

Hidden clip systems mean no visible screw heads on the surface.

Color that holds

Choose boards that keep their color year after year, not gray out.

Cooler boards

We pick lighter tones so bare feet stay comfortable in July sun.

Manufacturer warranty

Composite warranties come from the manufacturer, often 25 years plus.

Permits handled

We make sure the right permits are in place for every deck that needs one.

Materials and options

Composite versus PVC

Composite is wood fiber and plastic. PVC is all plastic and lighter. Both are low maintenance. We help you pick on budget, look, and how much direct sun the deck gets. Composite feels more like wood underfoot, PVC resists moisture the most.

Color and heat

Dark boards get hot in a Tennessee summer. We steer you to colors that look great and stay cool underfoot. Lighter tones reflect heat, darker tones absorb it, and we walk you through the trade-off for your yard.

Hidden fasteners

Clip systems hide the screws so the deck looks clean and the boards can expand and contract without buckling. Hidden fasteners cost a little more but are the standard on a premium composite build.

Cost versus wood over 20 years

Composite costs more upfront than pressure treated pine but skips 20 years of stain, seal, and board replacement. We show you both totals on your estimate so you can compare honestly and pick what fits.
